About Big Brothers Big Sisters
Each year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri matches approximately 500 children facing adversity in Boone, Audrain, and Randolph counties with a caring, supportive adult role model.
It’s not simply about the numbers, though. The impact of this extra support has been outstanding. In the past three years, none of our kids dropped out of school and none were referred to juvenile authorities for new crimes. 98% of Littles said using drugs not given to them by their parent or a doctor is not OK. What’s more, among our current Littles who’ve been in the program one year, there is a 25% increase in kids planning to attend college from when they first started the program!
Vision: That all children achieve success in life.
Mission: To provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
