Ronin is 7 years-old and never had the opportunity to meet his father. He’s very quiet and shy. His mother thought that a Big Brother could provide a positive male influence in his life and help him to come out of his shell. Ronin was matched with Big Brother Luke and the pair have been unstoppable since.

One of Ronin's favorite things to do with his Big Brother is play soccer. Luke helps Ronin be more outgoing and better able to communicate with his peers and adults, things that Ronin finds particularly challenging. Like Ronin says, he likes spending time with Luke "because it's fun." As a result of having fun with his Big Brother, Ronin has become more talkative and energetic around adults as well as his friends.
